A Word for your Monday: It's Not Impossible.

March 26, 2018

Have your feet hit the floor this morning and already you've found yourself dragging? Maybe you didn't get a ton of sleep last night. Maybe you've got a lot on your mind.  Maybe your kids are screaming in the background as you read this.

I don't know where your Monday's found you, but I know one thing. Sometimes Monday's can be a war zone for my mind.

I see the week ahead. I know the to do list is endless. I open the planner to my "goals" section and realize I am so far from where I want to be. I see the name of that client who never messaged me back. I hear the voices of discouragement telling me no matter the victory last week, there won't be any celebration over new victory in the week to come. Discouragement and defeat try their hardest to drown out the beautiful possibilites that lie in today, that await me on this Monday.

And yet, right there in the midst of this decision - this decision to choose immediate defeat or hopeful victory - I'm reminded of a promise given to me by my God. A promise found right out of Luke 1:37.

"For with God nothing shall be impossible."

You have a choice to make, my sweet friend, right here in your Monday. You can choose to walk in your emotions and allow the enemy to defeat you before you ever press into the goals ahead or you can choose to believe these words. That if you will give the Lord your hands, your time, your heart and your life, He will go before you and will move mountains that seem absolutely impossible. He will bring victory into your day and He will do it with His power alone. You can choose to wallow in your yesterday or you can speak life over yourself as you take that first step forward.

"With God, I WILL be victorious this week."

"With God, I WILL reach my goals that I've set for myself."

"With God, I WILL be filled with a peace that overtakes my current circumstance."

Your dreams are NOT impossible to accomplish when they are put in the hands of an Almighty God, so don't quit. Don't give up believing that God can do things beyond your wildest dreams if you will just trust Him. Grab hold of your promise, dear, and choose on this Monday to set the tone for the rest of your week by choosing to put your life in the hands of the One who does the impossible.
